Agitators for hydrolysis containers
In the first step of the degradation process, the ‚hydrolysis‘, the carbohydrates, proteins, fats etc. of the substrate are segregated into simple organic compounds, also called pre-acidification. Opinions are sharply divided on whether an additional step with an extra tank in the biogas plant makes good economic sense.
Because the fluid levels in the hydolysis container do not vary as much as e.g. in the receiving tank all agitators may in principle be applied.
Particularly advisable are agitators with high or medium speed of rotation because it can be assumed that the propellers cause a certain digestion of the substrate cell walls.
